can anyone tell me how to wire up my 2 gang 2 way flat plate dimmer switch. In my living room I have one wall light socket with two switches.
one switch works one light at one end of the room and the other switch works the light at the other end of the room.
existing wiring consists of one blue wire / one yellow wire /and one red wire. the red wire is linked to the second switch only.
The dimmer switch i have purchased is from b and q, and is the push on and off 200-240v.
there are 2 blocks each block consisting of L1 L2 and ~

Put the red into the common on one switch and loop to the other switch.
Put the yellow into L1 on one switch and blue into the L1 on the other.

sabre, seeing as you are still asking, i presume you have not changed it yet. if so mark the cables with a "felt pen" and take a few pictures, if the phone rings and you answer it, you will not forget how far you git (if you see what i mean)

Well done Spark123, I did not realise from the original post what he was trying to achieve until I read your reply.
