dimmer switches

I have two ceiling lights in my lounge which had a single double switch I have fitted a dimmer switch however my problem is that both lights buzz and so does the switch its self any ideas ..... HELP

Im using two cieling lights off of on one dimmer unit (with two controls) the lights have 5x g4 12v max 20 watts and the unit is 60-250 watt
........ this could explain it would I need a dimmer thats under 20w

From what you describe you need a dimmer switch that is compatable with low voltage lighting .

If you take your ceiling light down there should be a transformer in the back of it ,there should be some information on this .
This would hopefully inform you if it is of a dimmerable variety as not all are.
