Dimmers on 2 way circuits

Hey all,

My living room has 2 light switches, is it possible to fit a dimmer to one of the switches, while keeping the other as straight on/off?

Yes, but when you turn the lights on with the on/off switch, you'll only get the brightness that the dimmer switch is set to, not full - is that what you want?

Two time saving tips:-

Before you remove the light switch note where the wires go.

Check you have an earth (which is connected) before you buy a metal face plated dimmer.

I have done this and it works fine. My dimmer switch did have com, l1 and l2 on it. Hooray!
