Diplomat 8702 Not Spinning

Hi,
My Mums Diplomat 8702 washing Machine will not spin. The drum turns ok on the wash cycle but it at slow speed when it's meant to be spinning. I've removed the ring magnet from the rear of the motor and it looks ok to the naked eye.

Any ideas greatfully received

Anyone tell me what the magnet/sensor on the rear of the motor is? and where the brushes are?. I've not taken the motor out yet.
