Diplomat ADP3710 Fan oven element

my daughters diplomat oven element has just packed up, and i am not sure how it comes off. I have recently changed my own oven's element (belling) with no problems. On the belling there was only a centre screw holding the element on but on the diplomat there is three small clamps on the coil and thats it. i have slackened the clamps but the element wont budge. I hope it does not have to be removed from the rear as when it was installed not enough tail was left to allow the oven to be pulled out!!
Any suggestions would be appreciated
