Dirty marks on washing - Bosch Classixx 1200

We have a two year old Bosch Classixx 1200 front loading washing machine which from time to time puts dirty looking, dark grey marks on the washing. They are streaks or tide-like marks and are pretty hard to remove.

What could be causing them? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Have tried cleaning washes without load. Checked draining and potential blockages.

what happens if you spin the drum by hand? is it noisey, does it "feel" odd what else can you hear? (it sounds like you have something trapped between inne and outer drums)

Spun by hand sounds fine. Turns easily and makes no noise.

i thought it would (if it doesn't its the bearings) you mention you only get the marks occasionaly, assuming nothing is going in that could cause it, there must be something between the two drums
