dirty screen

I recently wiped the dust off of our 42in screen TV only to realise that I had inadvertently used a cloth that had been used to buff polished furniture! I have tried cleaning the screen with 'Monster' screen clean & the appropriate micro-pore cloth but the smears remain - can anyone suggest an alterative product?

What about one of those sprays for cleaning spectacles?
They remove greasy marks from my plastic lenses without damage, maybe try a tiny corner first.

I use softened water with half a drop of WUL on a perfectly clean sponge.

the advantage of softened water is that it leaves no watermarks. Very good for glass and mirrors.

I suppose the sprays contain deionised water, so you could use that if you have it.
