I have this outside light at the back that was driving us mad.

It has a motion sensor, that is not needed, that kept switching off and then on.

The sensor is now broken, but the light does not work. How can I rig the wiring to enable the light to work, but without being routed through the now broken sensor?

I tried simply disconnecting the live wire to the sensor, but that meant the light did not work at all.

I have now accidentally broken a capacitor or something off the sensor. Is there a way of wiring this simply, so that I can switch the light on and off from the switch indoors?

(There are no buttons on the light to enable / disable the sensor.)

Any thoughts? Thanks. It would be a waste to throw the light away.

You need to disconnect the three sensor wires and then connect the Brown and Blue which go to the lamp to the Brown and Blue of the supply cable - as you would if there was no sensor.
