Im getting new washing machine tommorow. (Sat) but need to disconnect current one, but have no idea how to do this. I also have connect the new one when it comes. Can anyone help please?

Also have a blocked outside drain, someone has told me to use caustic soda. Is this the right thing to use?

Thanks.

Well the old one might have a hot and/or cold feed pipe and a flexi waste pipe. The hot or cold feeds should just be , very, hand tight connected to the back of the machine and the flexi pipe should be tucked into a vertical waste pipe or connected to your sink waste system or closest waste outlet. All easy to remove.

New machine will be the same but has probably only got a cold feed so leave the hot feed pipe alone.

Caustic soda is good...mix in bucket but keep hands WELL away from it. Depends on whats causing the blockage though.....

Don't forget to take off the transit clamp on the new washer, it will say in the instuction book how to do it,
As for the drain put your arm in a bin bag & skoop out any debris from said drain.
