Hi, I've just got a new dishwasher for our new house. The place where I want to put it is some distance from the drainage point under the sink. I've bought another plastic drainage pipe which appears to just slot on to the end of the existing plastic pipe. Is there any requirement for some sealing of this joint? I don't want water leaking from this when it's behind cupboards! Thanks in advance.[/img]

Use a connector or an off cut of 21.5mm overflow pipe in the small end of
the hose and slide the larger end of other hose over the top and secure the two with a jubilee clip.
