Hi

I'm trying to install a new dishwasher and all was going swimmingly until i realised the inlet hose from the dishwasher was just out of reach from the water supply.

So thinking it would just be a simple case of getting an extension hose of 2.5m, i was wrong. The Bosch DW doesn't look like it accepts generic inlet hoses, so i think i'm stuck with the one it came with.

So working the other way from the water source, i've got a Y piece tube to split off the water supply for the dishwasher and the washing machine. Shouldn't i be able to get an extension piece of pipe/tube or hose for this Y piece so that i can make one branch of the Y long enough to fit onto the inlet hose?

I just can't see anything that would do the trick.

Effectively i'm looking for something similar to the Y piece but it would just have to be one straight piece of tube with one male end and one female end on it.

Am i just being blonde again or should this not be easy to find????

Thanks in advance

you will need to extend cold pipework. dont think there is anything common to extend from the connector.

A standard flexible pipe extension will do the trick as you only need to extend one end of the Y-splitter to reach the dishwasher feed. This is assuming that the connection on the diswasher inlet pipe is the same as the washing machine of course.

You can get extra length flexible hoses. Go to a plumbers merchants tell them your problem. This was on here quite recently, Sorry I havnt got time to search for it.
