Does anyone know of a generic "extension" pipe, suitable for the
water inlet pipe of a dishwasher ?

About a meter long would be ok

I imagine I could use a 3/4" male/male brass coupling and a washing
machine inlet pipe, but perhaps there could be something better.

My dishwasher manufacturer has one, but they only sell it in a kit
with an outlet hose for £70 !! (no way, hoseay) pardon the pun!

I can't find one via google.

You haven't given any details of your existing "inlet pipe", but if it's a normal appliance hose then a 2.5m long hose would surely solve your problem:

Thanks guys!

But, for this "extension" to work, one end needs to be "male".
My dishwasher has an "electronic sensor" device at the inlet/tap end
which cannot be removed.

If this is the only way, then i will get one of these with a male/male coupler (see my original post)

I see. Is there any other relevant information that you've been withholding?

You could use a hose as suggested and connect it to wour existing appliance with 2 straight washing machine valves connected end to end with a short piece of 15mm.
Not sure the manufacturer would approve mind.

Arent washing machine valve threads 0.5inch BSP? So the connector Chris has shown might only be avaliablie in iron.

They're 3/4" bsp, and that one's plastic. I think the usual sheds do them too.
