I'm after a fully integrated dishwasher for ~£400 and was wondering if its worth buying a cheaper make and get a long warranty or buy a better make? Has anyone got any suggestions on route to take and any recommendations on a make and model?

Integrated machines are a lot more expensive so you'll have your work cut out. Beware of the cheap(er) stuff, it's most likely chinese.

Bosch is good and reliable.

why do you want an integrated machine, and how much extra are you willing to pay for the integration?

1 st option is a good pair of hand s !! lol failing that a bosch is def a good option !! i personally dont any extended warranties !! various reasons .

every time u get offered a warranty on an appliance polielty ask how much it is remember this figure. wen u get bak home get a tin tub bottle hde it from the kids etc. each month pop that figure u forgot in there. now this is the tricky bit dont be tempted to pop ur little fingers in that tub 4 a nite on the town !! unless u like washing up by hand !!! lol after a few yrs u will prob have been offered some more of these extended warranties and of course you will no take them , u will pop that figure in the tub too.
the tempttion wen u pop that figur ein is gonna get more tempting to take a little out for a nite on the town !! so glue the lid on and make a slot or something !!

sometime in the future an appliance is gonna pack up washer drier dishwasher cooker microwave the list goes on teas maid ?? well u go ta dishwasher lol !! at this time u can get an idea wether u need to repair or buy new. yer u guessed u will hve more than enough in that tub to buy one !!

now u can let the secret free get the kids to get the lid off !! buy ur new gadget and find out the warrnty on that and pop the money in the tub !! keep doing this and at some point wen u break the lid off u will realise that u could have been seriously ripped off \!! and will think of me wen decide to take a holiday abroad cause the tub is overflowing ur heart misses a beat and u fink wat the hell and dip ur fingers in !!

remeber wen buying new u get a 1 yr warranty and that is wen ur appliance is most likely to break down if is dodgy. if it lasts 1 yr then u may well get many many more yrs trouble free or at least a minor repair depending on the appliances u have.

wen they offer a warranty for the m/c u r buying to start wen the m/c is over 5 yrs old let me know !!

by the way i have many talents and fix dishwashers ice makers well anything really !!! a well made component lasts many mny yrs. a badly made one fails as soon as fiited or very soon after .

ur new m/c will have lots of components !! make use of the 1 yr warranty as standard and my tub of money and enjoy .

wen u r in town at the cheap shop grab a kettle for a fiver !! chuck in the cupboard. this is ur survival appliance !! u can make tea pot noodles boil an egg nd much more if the kids nik ur tub of money lol btw i drink lots of tea !!

however if u do buy a very expensive item for ur house or wat eva and u dont feel comfortable with wat i have said get a the figure of the shop remeber it.. then get an independant insurance for that item ..... as a rule of thumb applaincs usually last less than a yr !! or 5 yrs before u get any probs. but do buy a good applaince bosch are good and well worth the extra pennies. once u have moooched round all the shops decide wat 1 u want pop the make n model in ya fone and buy online !! spend a bit of time doing this too there is money to be saved there too !!

Hi,

You cant go wrong with anything manufactured by Zanussi, AEG or Electrolux and you can get top appliances for around £400 with 5 yr warranties.

Anything less from other manufacturers tells its own story regarding the confidence they have in their product and quality system.

AEG, Zanussi, Bosch, Neff and Electrolux have strict quality checks and are very reputable with good service records. AEG specialise in integrated appliances so they are probably your best bet. You can browse their 2008 range at [removed] although I am not advertising as such - there are plenty of other appliance suppliers out there!
