Dishwasher waste pipe over flows out of U-Bend

has it always done that, or did it start after somebody poured cooking fat down the sink?

How high is the standpipe?

I've just installed a new dishwasher and this is the set up for the old one and that didnt over flow.

Dont think theres any cooking fat in there when i looked.

Standpipe roughly 30-40cm

try raising the standpipe so it is almost as high as the worktop

look in the trap, and where this waste pipe joins onto whatever waste or soil pipe it goes to, looking for obstructions.

If not, let us know how much of a slope is on the run, and how long it is.

What is the diameter?

All sorted now, seems to have pushed some excess waste through and sorted it's self out!
