Diversity

Well I'm a little confused I'll be honest, I'm reading an Electrical Installation book by Scadden, and in the cable design section he mentions that the diversity in reference of the Regs Table 4D1A (Page 220), can be calculated there. Is this a mistake or am I being incredibly dumb?

I am a second year student and please take pity on me.

The demand has say increased on consumer unit due to say a 9Kw cooker being installed. The demand has increased on the original tails and a new set has to be installed for the extra demand.

Page 220 of the Regs is the place to find the size required, using Int. Method 1. That is where I'd be able to find the new size? yay or nay?

Thats what my question was originally, just badly written , sorry.
