I've opened up my boiler to change the diverter valve (or clean it), taken off the Actuator sprayed some DW40 inside and managed to to get the pin moving up and down.

Is this enough to stop the rads getting hot when the hot water is on or do I have to drain and take it out and clean it?

Thank you in advance anyone who cares to answer.

Cheers

I put it all back together, put the fuse back in the trip switch and turn on.
Ran the hot water and.... the radiators stayed cold.
I didn't even have to drain the boiler!
Great Stuff.

The only downside is that the shower has gone back to fluctuating in temperature like it did before the Rads got hot?

Perhaps it's something to do with the equaliser as the mixer is not a thermostate.

All the Best
