We have a mostly microbore sealed system connected to a 3 year old Worcester Bosh greenstar. We had a downstairs radiator replaced last year as we were redecorating and thought it a good oppurtunity to replace the aged valve which is the type only fitted to one end of the radiator, so that the radiator itself cant be removed without draining the whole system down. Anyway the new radiator was fitted with a valve at each end. However the new radiator only gets warm at the top half, (the old one did the same).......All the other radiators in the house work fine. The chap who fitted the radiator seemed though they may be a build up of sludge in the pipework etc etc. Do you learned chaps think a DIY chemical flushing additive could do the trick......? or have any other suggestions.......

turn off all the other rads. Does this one get hot?

If yes, look up "balancing radiators" on plumbing FAQ.

When your new boiler was fitted three years ago the system should have been thoroughly cleaned and inhibitor added.

Microbore does not respond well to power flushing!

You dont say which size microbore you have. 10mm is not too bad but the more common 8 mm is a considerable problem.

Mostly the non acid cleansers are not strong enough to work well on microbore.

Acid cleansers like DS40 do work well but risk many leaks on old rads!

As John suggests try balancing first and see what that does for your problem.
