I'm looking at replacing my current Oil Hot Air furnance with a Natural Gas Ho water boiler. I would like to do as much of the work as possible and am looking for a book or similar instructions with basic layout, preparations, installation, etc. I would hire someone to do the final inspection when complete or to do the final hookup, but like I said I 'd like to do most my self. any tips on good books for DYI heating installations?

From the problems I've seen with warm air installations and wet installations, I would keep the warm air unit.. The money you will save can pay for an awful lot of fuel.

Where abouts are you?

Um, yes.......... but the US is a hell of a big place, one part gets very cold in winter, while another part is incredibly windy a little while ago, some parts are up mountains, some parts are below sea level, some parts are three hours behind other parts. I would like to know a little more precisely than + or - 1500 miles
