Some of my kitchen cupboards are obviously damp as even glassware and metal items are growing mould and baking tins are going rusty. It is not all the cupboards, some top ones some lower ones. In my lounge and dining room the metalwork on the fireplaces goes rusty and some wooden furniture has grown mould close to the floor. We had and existing damp treated with a damp prrof course in the required areas when we moved in 3 years ago and none of the walls appear to be affected. HOwever, we do have cellars underneath the whole house. Could this be the cause and if so what can we do?

Unless you dry clothing indoors it will be due to a lack of ventilation.
