Do I need a low pressure tap?

Doing some work in the kitchen and looking to replace the mixer tap with a pull out.

We have an old house with a hot water tank in the floor above. Cold water is from mains, boosted by a Salamander Homeboost. This works ok.

Question is, what sort of tap do I need to be looking at for the kitchen? Anything specific?
 
Have a look at the minimum pressure for the tap, sometimes it might say low pressure but still 1 bar. There’s some low pressure ones that are minimum of 0.1bar which is more than adequate.
 
1. In my opinion it is highly unlikely you will find a tap which will work with low pressure (your hot water) and provide a pull out function.
2. You hot water pressure will be determined by the distance from the base of the cold water storage cistern (loft) to the outlet. 1 bar of pressure is roughly equivalent to 10 metres of height, so you are likely to have a hot water pressure at the kitchen tap of around 0.4 bar (tap to ceiling say 1.2 metres, height of first floor say 2.4 metres, thickness of ceilings say 2 x .25 metres = 0.5 metres).
3. 2. above does not apply if the hot water cylinder is an unvented one, in which case the hot water pressure will be very close to mains pressure.
4. If you have a vented hot water cylinder I'd suggest you forget the pull out, and go for a tap which has separate hot and cold taps with either separate outlets or which mix hot and cold at the end of a single spout.
