do i need a new shower?

i've got a ten.four shower unit, just under 3 years old. its been acting up for the last few weeks, i have to turn on and off a few times before the water comes out. now it wont work, i turn it on and it makes a short sound as if its about to work but the "low pressure" light is on and water wont come out.
this maybe just a coincidence but the waterboard have been in my garden twice in the last few weeks, they said "checking the manhole"

am i best to just call out a plumber/electrician? i dont have a bath just a shower cubicle so im desperate. thanks jayne

More likely the bristan which is a rebadged newteam.

Need to check the solenoid coil with a multi meter for resistance in its failed state.
should be 3.4 kohms or above.
