Do I need to modify boiler pipework?

I inherited the following boiler.. and the pipe work doesn't look the best

While an eyesore, is it necessary for me to get an gas engine to modify the pipework to make it 'look better?'

No, if you can do it without disturbing the boiler case.

the water pipes outside the boiler? no. they are just water pipes

not the gas.

It’s written somewhere that the final connection to the boiler must be a gas safe registered engineer, so please be aware of this.
