Do vinyl caulk or Polyfilla promote mould growth less than silicon sealant?

For health reasons I have to minimise mould in my house. The previous occupants have used silicon round doors and windows, and in lots of places where Polyfilla would have done (as well as round the bath which I'd expect). The silicon is growing black mould in a few places. I've bleached it out but want to know if mould likes decorators vinyl caulk or Polyfilla (or Tetrion) as much as it seems to like silicon, for when I redecorate?

Thank you!

Lower the humidity in the house.
There are things you can do plus run a dehumidifier for a few hours every evening in the winter.
You shouldn't get condensation thus no mould.

Also. You can't use bathroom silicone on uPVC windows. Make sure it's ok for uPVC

I guess that when condensation condenses on silicone it stays on the surface, providing a puddle for the mould to grow in, whereas condensation on polyfilla is more likely to be absorbed into the material and not provide a puddle. Maybe.

Fundamentally though, you shouldn't have condensation. Fix the real problem. Eliminate sources of moisture and increase ventilation.
