We live in a RedRow property built 2010 -Broadway Design- and we are removing the patio doors at the rear of the house.

Does anyone have any experience of the homes to advise whether we have an RSJ?

I was told by a chap who worked on our roof he was 100% certain a home built in 2010 would have - but I’m a complete novice and would like to cast the net wider. I’ve contacted RedRow but they’re taking over a week to respond at the moment.

Thanks.

If its a cavity wall then it will be a combined steel lintol.

Yes I believe it is a cavity wall. So would / does this Linton provide full support even if the door frame is removed?

Yeah its only much older properties that didn't always have lintols in place and relied on the window frame.
