Do you 'think outside the box'?

The problem as I see it is that anything that involves tieing will inevitably block the rubber duck from sliding down the half-pipe. So cable ties etc are out of the question.

The best bet would be to have a hole in the side of the pipe and fix with wire, but as I understand it the pipes can't be damaged. Could you maybe get different pipes instead? Ones that are yours to do with as you please?
