hi can anyone help,i have a soil pipe in my bathroom protruding from a concrete floor. The trouble is ,that the pipe is not near any wall,i do not know where it goes and the new toilet i want to buy is close coupled and i dont want to box it in,thanks shaun
stab in the dark here, but am reckoning you've currently got wot we used to call an s-trapped toilet pan an low level cistern? They don't make em no more and retro fit close coupled can be a nightmare. You either have to as you say stud the wall off to support the cistern or if your very, very, very lucky a space saving pan connector will do the trip. (Rare ) As for the stack coming up, that connects straight into your foul water system, so unless u fancy digging the floor up and re-routin out side and fitting (regulation permitting) a stub stack u ain't got much choice on fitting a boxing round it.
Do a nice job of it, tile it all in an stuff an it can be another shelf for the missus to store bog cleaners an stuff on..
bloody hell, Do they do em in advocar? I've got an old dear pesterin me for a new toilet an i aint' got the heart to tell her she'll end up with a white bog and rank green suite
If she's that desperate for a green bog and dont mind paying for it then these guys maybe worth a look: http://www.hmjames.co.uk/colours.htm
Just hope they dont send it via Royal Mail with free tube of bostik or you will be busy.
Personally think half the colours are ghastly, still got a Doulton double trap syphonic (needs a bomb in flush) and matching basin in Pampas gathering dust in the garage...
