New Soil Pipe

I have a pokey little upstairs bathroom with no window which puts everybody off buying our property. I would like to convert a bedroom at the other side of the house into a bathroom but it is not near a soil pipe and I dont like the idea of using a Macerator. It suddenly dawned on me that this bedroom is above a small downstairs toilet. Obviously the downstairs toilet uses a waste outlet which must run at the other side of the house from the front soil pipe.
Is it acceptable practice to run a soil pipe up from the downstairs toilet and have the downstairs toilet and newly installed bathroom feed into this new soil pipe ?

Without more information the most anyone can say is that it may be feasible.

Also, be aware that what you propose requires LABC approval.

What is the connection from the downstairs WC into the soil system? Does it go straight into the floor?

The soil pipe from the downstairs loo goes straight down into the floor.

OK, so you're going to need to do some digging to move the underground bend, put in a rest bend and drop into that with a new soil stack in the corner of the room, then run it upstairs to the room containing the new WC.

If your existing stack has a vent (i.e. is open to the atmosphere) then your BCO is likely let you use an AAV on the new stack - if so then you can avoid running it through the loft and roof.

if the ground floor loo pipe emerges directly outside and below your intended first floor toilet, then you have a good chance of making a connection.

you could build an inspection chamber directly outside the downstairs toilet, into which your new stack pipe can also be joined.

as Softus has said b.c. would like to see all connections before back filling.

Is this a job I can do myself (medium/good diy skills) or does it have to done be a corgi registered plumber ?. If the latter, is there a special type of plumber (i.e who specialises in a certain area) that I need to contact ? I note the point about getting the building regulations dept to authorise.
