Does this advice sound right to you?

I've lived here 3 years. When I moved in they got warm... but not hot.

I've neglected to have it put right since then because of not having the money to sort it. By last winter they were completely cold, and they still are now.

I'm so sorry I have no idea. The whole system is probably 8 yrs old, that's when the house was built. Does that help?

In that case you have a blockage at the manifold, your plumber will find this easily. Its under the floorboards upstairs.
He will need to pull back carpets and lift floorboards to find, looking at around half a day plus fittings.

Not very expensive, but an expence all the same

;)

Ok... Thank you!

I'll quote this at him and see what he says....

If he still recommends a new pump and/or a powerflush do I just say thanks but no thanks?

Thanks very much for your help.

Oh yeah!,

A new pump wont do anything.

A power flush may.

Finding and removing blockage most certainly will.

Your welcome. Thats the idea behind the forum ;)
