Hey folks, probably not the best title! But I have been removing 1982 wall tiles from our 70s house kitchen today, and I was aware that around the soil stack it was hollow behind the tiles, so was gently taking them off around that area. However of course, as gentle as you can be, I still managed to pull away some material.
It's been plastered over, but it looks like wood of some sort, and is papery.

It doesn't look white like the AIB in the garage ceiling panels, but was it a "thing" to have AIB in a soil stack?
I can't see why unless certain toilet trips could be flammable but just looking for advice.

I've already been weighing up whether the tiles and/or grouting contained it, it appears to be very common in this era of house!
