im yet to decide on tiling the whole bathroom (won’t be such an issue if part tiled) but (see pic) old tiles were ok where they met door facings, new larger tiles will end up proud of the facings.

The window is old sash and case with similar facing to door surrounding it.

Unless I free and prise the facings up a bit (which just might suffice) I can’t picture what to do should removing the facings be best.

What would be the advice please? Thanks

Im not sure what you mean by facings.

Im guessing you mean architrave?

Easiest solution is to pull thrm off and fit new
