Door architrave and plastering

I assume the correct door lining width should be to get the lining level with the walls plaster, or just proud of it.

I have already asked a question:

I assume the lining should be proud of the wall each side enough to allow the architrave to sit on top of the plaster, you then caulk if there is a gap.

Sorry I wasn't clear on my last post.
