Hi everyone
I'm just replacing my door bell chime which is currently supplied with a 12v transformer. However when I put my multimeter on it, it actually reads 15v. The new chime states max 12volts.
Is this low voltage difference permissible or is this a problem? I'm guessing most people would just accept the writing on the transformer and never actually check.

Thanks in advance

Rob

It's fine. It's an unregulated transformer. The voltge will drop when the chime rings.
