Was going to install a door (similar to one in picture)for this outside storage space but won't it hit the light in ceiling and catch the sill on front door?

my thoughts
it will be a vented top and bottom loose fitting door
say 50-80mm gap top and bottom but can be varied
the width needs say a frame hinge side perhaps 40mm and similar lock side but can vary between say 28mm -45mm hinge side and say 20-35mm bolt side
so take the width and height and take off between 50 to 80mm off the width and 100-160mm off the height available

yes you can tinker further but minimums are required to fix to or for clearance

a more basic ledge and braced garden gate may be a better option and possibly cheaper

its also worth checking what others have done
its also worth checking you are actually permitted to enclose that area for two reasons one being possibly not permitted through deeds or covinant
also restricting access to meters and emergency isolation

I dont know what you mean by frame - lining?

Yes, perhaps go for a ledge and braced garden gate. The vented top, shall i just measure so it's bigger than the depth of light to clear it? Don't hang it on house wall but otherside to not block the front door?

you need a frame to fix to on both edges you dont fix the gate to the wall directly
