Hi,

I have just joined as I am redecorating my downstairs.

I stripped all the wood back and today decorated the walls.

Now I need to paint the door frames, picture rails and skirting, and advice on waht to use, i dont want gloss, have heard of white satin, but not sure what it looks like ot what other options there are.

thanks for the adive

Steve

You need to apply knotting to the bare knots, then prime, fill, undercoat or use satinwood or eggshell.

I would go for eggshell if the wood has been stripped back because stripping and scraping tends to roughen the wood up a bit and gloss highlights any surface defects.

Both of which are available in water based versions
