Door intercom handset replacement help

Hi all

I hope you can help me with wiring of this new handset i have bought.

The old handset is a Videx and the terminals are labelled 1-6.
The new unit is a bell 801 handset and the terminals are IROTZ.

Can anyone tell me how to wire the new handset up? What numbers from handset go to what Letter of the new handset.

Go and purchase the CORRECT replacement handset ….eg Videx

As above, I'm afraid your new handset is incompatible with your old system.

Your old system (I believe to be a Videx 3011?) is set up for 'electronic calling' (terminal 4). It also shorts 'Speech out' (1) to common (3) (via terminal 5), when the unlock button is pressed, to send an unlock signal to the door.



This control method can not be achieved with the Bell handset.

The old handset is a Videx 3011 Smart. I bought a Bell 801 thinking they were universal (should of researched) but it seems it's not.
So I've just ordered another Videx 3011 Smart handset.
