door threshold

hi I am screeding the floor at the moment and do not know what to do at the door threshold as this will be very thin
the problem I have is there is a gas barrier layer bridging the cavity and not allowed to cut into this to fill cavity so I am lost in what to do
any advice please

cut into it, remove a course of bricks or break the top of the blocks off, then repair using foil gas membrane tape.
