Hi

I need to change a door opening to a window and unsure the safest way to go about it, I can do the brick work just not took part of walls down before.

Sorry about the marking
Above the door/window opening is 2 coarse of bricks then a pitch first floor roof.
My plan was to support the rafters from the roof (they are exposed) with prop/acrow will that support the roof while I remove the brick to insert new catnic lintel?

In theory, wall plate, rafters and ceiling joists should all be connected so your plan should work. Personally I would probably prop internally via the ceiling joists and try to get two strongboys under the external brickwork in the hope that I could get the lintel in without removing it - it will be a horrible job to rebuild that soldier course.
