Doorstep Bricks

Hello all.

I need to build myself a doorstep. For the step itself I have some (very heavy) stone slabs. I need to build these slabs up by one course of bricks to reach the correct height.
My question;

Can I use driveway bricks to do this?

I plenty of these already but if they are not suitable for this job then I will buy what I need. Any advice on this would be great appreciated.

You can, but pavers tend to look crap when laid as bricks.

Thanks for your reply. The bricks themselves won't be visible when the job is done. I was more concerned about the weight of them as they seem considerable heavy than other bricks I have used.

They'll be fine, they're concrete blocks
