dorky idea for cyclists

You read about so many accidents between cyclists and vehicles on our cities streets.

So not allow a cyclist to wear a rotating amber beacon on their helmet?

I know what you're thinking...knobs and heads comes to mind, but no, I'm thinking of something super low profile that emits a rotating beam of orange light that will be visible from a greater distance than any bike light.

Would it be illegal?

Lots of cheap flashing lights on the back and two of these on the bars

Set to medium on dark roads and low in town. As bright as car headlights. No problem being seen. Assuming the other road users are looking.

New laws are required to ensure safety for car/van drivers di not run over cyclye riders EG pushbike riders laws to make them wear hi-vis, lights on bike, bell and possibly even a crash helmet and ceratinly a form of ID on their hi-vis and insurance. This will reduce accidents and save a lot of heartache all round
Thanks
