Hi all
I have just built a reasonably large dorma window, about 2m X 2 m. I don't want to clad it so i believe I have two options.

1) use tiles similar to the roof
2) lead

I don't know of any other covering would be glad to hear of any

Can anyone point me in the direction of where to get some technical advice on the lead covering. I think this will look best but I am unsure how to do it.

PS this is the 2nd time I have tried to post this so if a similar post appears please forgive me. My DIY is much better than my posting.

regards

I would have thought you'd need Planning for a new dormer, If so the external finishes would have been determined then. I'd say go for vertical tiles.

thanks jamiedl

I have planning permision but detailed plans were not asked for, hence this question.
The builidng work has been approved, it is water tight but is desperate for a final finish of something.

as you say lead or plain tiles is the norm for a dormer.
you can also shiplap clad it.
