Ive had a dormer fitted and just had a guy in to quote for do the roof and side cheeks in GRP. He said he can't do the side cheeks in GRP because the fibre glass will run off the vertical. My question is Are there any other cheaper options other than lead for the side cheeks?

Actually Marley weatherboard is as cheap as upvc.
Maybe some nice composite cladding rather than cheap white.
As a DIYer How difficult would it be to fit lead to side cheeks? And should this be done prior to the GPR roof being fitted?
