Hi,

I have cut a damaged piece of plasterboard (770 x 1150mm) out of a shower cubicle that was dot & dabbed onto breeze block. When replacing, what type of board do i use as i am priming and tiling it? The current board is Green on the outsides. What do i use for adhesive?

Thanks,

Gary.

Have you taken all the tiles off & re-tiling or just repairing the damaged area? To be honest, if your re-tiling the whole shower cubilcle, I would rip all the PB out, put up some Aquapanel & re-tile over that. PB is not suitable for shower or bath areas as it it will eventually disintegrate when it gets wet (as you’ve discovered); it will inevitably happen again, it’s just a question of time!

If your just looking for a local quick fix repair, you might as well put PB back in there To be honest but it’s not a long term solution.

Hi, thanks for advice. What adhesive would you use to dot & dab if using plasterboard onto breeze?

Thanks,

Gary.
