New to this so please bear with me.

Just got myself a two storey house with direct CW, indirect HW and system boiler.

Have some issues with water damage (humid ceiling, not established if historical or tank related only). Initially will replace water tanks/warning pipe in loft. Would like to keep CW taps/toilet going during this and any future work - so thinking that I can add a DCV with isolator on the rising mains next to the HWT. This, I think, should allow me to work on things relating to water tanks and non-CW pipes and yet make a cuppa, wash hands, etc.

Would like to understand if this is a bad idea (why?) or safe & sound thing to do?

If going ahead, would it need earth bonding or does the valve take care of this?

Thanks.
