Double door contacts

Hi
Have just paid out for new windows and doors, I have fixed the entrance door alarm contact as surface mounted but on the french double door I have hit a snag. I do not want to fit the normal rectange surface mounted contacts as the profile on the doors is rounded so the contact will look crap to say the least.
Is there another way of alrming up these doors?

The doors look to open out.
If so surface is the only correct way.

Flush could be fitted but you would have to drill into the door and header. Or at least the header. But not the way to do things if they open out.

Another method is a curtain pir looking across the door ( no pets allowed )
Or put a pir in the room.

I/we have no idea what the room is for and contains, so thats the best I can do without more info.
