I have a double glazed unit which has been in the garage for some 4 years as a leftover from re-arranging the kitchen/dining room.

I have found a use for it, if my idea will/would work.

Can I break the seal to get two panes then re-cut to size or could I cut the unit as it is to re-size. I'm not worried about the sealing etc as it would be fitted into the shed to replace the plastic windows.

thanks

Personally I'd forget about that idea and simply buy new glass for your shed.....fiddling with these is rarely a success and if it's tempered glass, fraught with risk.
John :)

As above cutting them down is a pain (in the glass!) and glass is cheap. If its toughened glass it cant be cut and will just explode into a million pieces.
