Hi there,

Can anyone give me a ball pack figure on how much it would cose me to replace the following:

2 x Bow/Bay windows
1 x Landing Window
1 x Porthole Window
1 x Front Door
1 x Enclosed porch

I am guessing £4-7K but I might be way out?

Thanks

Update.

Safestyle UK had come in at £6k, but did there hard sell at £4K

Can anyone recomend a good local company in the West Midlands Area (B63)

James

Hi

I just had a new door fitted by Tipton Windows. They came straight in at the same price as safestyle's "this is your one time best offer but only if you buy today" bulls**t.

They did a nice job, but after 3 months i'm still waiting for my FENSA cert.

Cheers
Dan

obviously dependent on sizes and area, but my latest set of refurb prices show the following approx prices

5 section curved bay window £1250
1050 x 1200 window £250
Front Door £400
Porch - ?? est £750 to £1000

Giving you a grand total of (2500 + 250+250+400+1000) = £4,400. I reckon you shouldn't pay more than £4K. Where is the job?

There's the price you pay now, there's the price you pay again when you have to replace them, and there's the price everyone pays because they have have messed up the planet. Do you want windows made of uPVC or oak? In the grand scheme of the things oak will be much cheaper.

Thanks for your reply Lynda,

How much extra would it be for hard wood frames for the Windows?

Cheers
