Double glazing with butyl compound

I'm removing the double glazing from my wood framed conservatory to do some frame repairs. Currently held in by beading which is well weathered, I want to use Everbuild 102 as putty when I put the glazing back in rather than use beading.

Everbuild 102 is butyl which I'm told is required for d/glazing panels. So can I go ahead and use the product without further consideration?
