Whilst it is probably not normal practice (due to cost I suppose?), is it acceptable to have two valves in series either side of a radiator?

The reason I would want to do this would be to facilitate future redecorating. The double valve arrangement would allow me to remove the radiator without losing water from either the radiator or the distribution pipework.

I find this to be annoying as you end up losing the corrosion inhibitor from the system, especially when your removing a lot of radiators.

Any advice on this one would be greatly appreciated.
