So are they already connected? Do they plug in together?
Could you disconnect the last two? Or is there not enough cable?

A picture may help

yes all joined together with the white sockets for the lights to attach to they all have two sets of wires except last one ... like xmas fairy lights

I'm still not quite understanding what you are working with, but if it was like I think it is, could you not just install the whole thing and leave two lamps out??

Or would removing a lamp make the rest not work (like x-mas fairy lights)??

Thanks, just tested it and they work by leaving two out, so i'll leave the other two up inside the ceiling unattached

Have a look at the transformer - it should have a minimum and maximum rating (e.g. 20W - 175W). As long as you don't go below the lower limit then you will be fine.

just checked transformer says 35-105 w so three 20w should be fine as long as they light up bathroom enough
