I'm about to have a timed extractor fan installed in the newly built downstairs bathroom. The fan will be controlled from the switch outside the room and routed via a tripple pole fan isolation switch.

Will a FCU also be required, or is the isolation switch enough?

I gather the fan will be getting its power from the lighting circuit, so maximum current is limitesd to 5/6/10 A already. Unless manufacturers instructions say differently, this should be fine.

Yeah, It sure is. It's linked into the lighting curcuit with a bit of three core and earth via a tripple pole switch, and controlled by the light switch.

Just checking before the plasterers move in...
